Wednesday, September 28 is National Women’s Health and Fitness Day, this is the nation’s largest national health promotion for women of all ages that occurs every year on the last Wednesday in September. On this day Chelsea Wellness Center provides health and wellness information specifically for women, FREE services and special offers. Members are encouraged to participate and invite friends as we focus on the unique fitness needs of our members and women in the community.
“Our goal for this national event is to encourage women to take control of their health: to learn the facts they need to make smart health choices, and to make time for regular physical activity,” adds Patricia Henze, Executive Director of the Health Information Resource Centersm, organizer of the event (15th Annual National Women’s Health & Fitness Day to be held September 28, 2016, 2016).
Enrollment and reactivation fees are waived on September 28 for women joining Chelsea/Dexter for the first time or renewing their memberships. Women can also relax and enjoy a FREE chair massage from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. Women can enter a special raffle to win a personal training starter package, a one-hour massage or a $25 gift card each time they work out from September 26 through October 2. Chelsea will also host the following FREE event:
Eat Healthy – Get Fit! Wednesday, September 28 at 7 p.m. – 8 p.m. This workshop stresses the importance of fitness for women. Learn how to make healthy food choices and other diet changes to improve your health.
